OKC

Why this matters in Oklahoma City

Most homes in south OKC and the wider metro shipped from the builder with budget locks rated ANSI Grade 3 — meaning they'll defeat a casual jiggler but not much else. Upgrading to a Grade 1 deadbolt costs less than a single Costco grocery run and is the single biggest residential-security upgrade you can make. Add a fresh rekey after move-in and you've closed the two biggest holes in any house: weak hardware and unknown copies of your old key floating around.

What we do

Home lockouts

Locked out of the house? Non-destructive entry first to get you back inside without damaging your door or lock whenever possible.

Rekey your locks (move-in or lost key)

New home or lost keys? Rekeying makes every old key stop working — cheaper than replacing the hardware, you keep your existing locks, same-day in most cases.

Deadbolts (Grade 1 upgrades)

We install and replace deadbolts in residential Grade 1 and Grade 2 — including Schlage B60/B62, Kwikset 980, and Medeco high-security.

Smart locks (Schlage Encode, Kwikset Halo, Yale Assure, August)

We install and program keypad and smart locks, including Wi-Fi-enabled units that work with Alexa and Google. We don't just bolt them on — we set up the codes and pair them properly.

High-security keys (Medeco, Mul-T-Lock)

Restricted-keyway high-security keys for owners who want copies to be impossible without authorization. Cut in-store.

House key duplication & high-security

House keys cut and duplicated on the spot at our counter — including many restricted and high-security blanks.

How a residential job works here

  1. 1

    Phone or walk-in

Tell us the address (lockout) or bring the lock/key to the shop. You get a real quote before any work begins.

  2. 2

    Honest recommendation

For move-ins: 90% of the time rekey beats replace — we tell you when replace is actually worth it instead of pushing the upsell.

  3. 3

    Same-day finish + warranty

Most residential jobs finish same-day. Hardware comes with the manufacturer warranty plus our labour warranty in writing.

Why OKC homeowners choose us over a big-box install or a mobile-only number

Real shop = real accountability

You can come to us if anything's wrong. Try doing that with a 1-800 number that dispatched a sub-contractor.

Honest "rekey vs replace" advice

Most of the time rekeying is the right call and we say so. We sell hardware when you actually need hardware.

High-security stock + cutting in-store

We carry and cut high-security keys (Medeco, Mul-T-Lock) — most shops in town don't even stock them.

Licensed, bonded, insured

Oklahoma License #441138. The license matters for residential because it gives you recourse if something goes wrong.

Frequently asked questions

Should I rekey or replace my locks?

If your locks are in good shape and you just want old keys to stop working — after a move, a lost key, a roommate change, or a contractor — rekeying is faster and cheaper. We only recommend replacing when a lock is worn, damaged, or you actively want to upgrade to higher security. We'll tell you honestly which one you need.

Can you get me back in without breaking my lock?

Almost always. We pick or bypass the lock non-destructively first. Drilling is a last resort and we never do it without telling you the cost first.

Do you make keys at the store?

Yes — bring your key to 3109 S Western Ave and we cut and duplicate house keys at the counter, including many high-security and restricted keys most shops don't carry.

I just moved in — what should I do about the locks?

Rekey, every time. You don't know how many copies of the old key are floating around (previous owner, agent, contractor, cleaners). Rekeying changes the internal pin pattern so old keys stop working — it's the standard move-in security step.

Are smart locks actually secure?

A quality smart lock from Schlage, Yale, or Kwikset is at least as secure as a comparable deadbolt — and many include physical key backup. The big risk is bad installation (wrong screw lengths, weak strike plate). We install with a reinforced strike and the right anchor depth so the smart features actually sit on top of a strong physical lock.

How long does a rekey take?

For a typical house with a deadbolt and a knob, about 20–30 minutes in the shop or 30–45 minutes on-site. Multi-door homes with several cylinders take proportionally longer. We quote it on the phone.
